The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards; an update!

It’s official, we have a date and venue for your diaries!

The 2015 Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards will be held on February 27th 2015 at The Bristol Hotel, an absolutely fantastic venue for our ceremony. Ticket prices, as well as the date they will be on sale, will be revealed shortly. Don’t delay, as there will be an Early Bird special for those who buy their tickets first.

Could you become a corporate sponsor?

Meanwhile, we are looking for corporate sponsors to support the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards. Could that be you? We are delighted to once again have the backing of Wedding Monkey for the 2015 awards, but we’d love to be able to raise even more for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation at next year’s event. Entries for the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards 2015 are now OPEN!

We are thrilled to be able to tell you that the 2015 Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards are now open to entries!

Following on from the amazing success of this year’s awards – don’t believe us? Take a peek here… – plans for the 2015 event are already firmly underway. We couldn’t be more excited if we tried! Whether you’re a florist, stationer, cake maker, venue dresser, photographer, videographer, or wedding singer, the awards are our way to say a huge THANK YOU for your dedication to the wedding industry over the last year.

We have loved every moment of working with you, and couldn’t be prouder of our own local talent.

The details you’ll need…

The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards are open to suppliers across the wedding industry. A full list of categories can be found here. Suppliers will be judged on the overall standard of their service, the quality of their product, their value for money, and their commitment to their weddings. Brides and grooms will also be given the opportunity to pass comments on to their suppliers – their way of saying, ‘thank you’ for your hard work.

Further to the voting process, the awards will be judged by our dedicated panel, which comprises Naomi Thomas, Lee Bishop of Strawberry Field Catering, Jo Robbins of Jo & Co Event and Wedding Planning, and Lyndsay Jones of Forever With Love.

Entry to the awards is free, although your business address must be located in the BS, BA, TA or GL8, GL9, GL12 or GL13 for you to be eligible.

We raised how much??

We are thrilled to announce that the total raised at the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards was over £1,200 – wow! This amount was achieved via an auction, raffle, and through donations made during the hilarious games of Heads and Tails.

A huge thank you to everybody who was involved in the organisation and hosting of the awards, as well as every single guests in attendance. You helped to make the event unforgettable and successful experience.

Keep your eyes peeled for next year’s event, which will be announced in due course.

The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards: There’s still time to vote

While nominations for the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards have now closed, there are still four days left to cast your votes.

Numerous categories, including Best Bridal Boutique, Catering, Florist, Hair and Make Up, Photographer, Venue, Gift List, Wedding Planner, and Entertainer, will be represented at the awards, charting the successes of wedding suppliers across the region. If you are a bride or groom from the Bristol and Somerset area, and you wed between 16th December 2012 and 16th December 2013, you are eligible to cast your vote; be sure to visit the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards website before the deadline on Friday 14th February.

You can vote for your favourite wedding suppliers here. Please be sure to cast your votes before the end of Valentine’s Day – your chosen wedding supplier is relying on you.

Tickets

There are limited tickets available for the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards, which are due to take place on 28th February at Wick Farm near Bath.

This fantastic event will feature the unveiling of all winners, as well as the annual Wedding Wishing Well Foundation Appreciation Awards, a three course meal supplied by Strawberry Fields Catering, a great night of entertainment, and the chance to dress up and network. Tickets are on sale until 20th February, unless they are all snapped up sooner; get your tickets here and join in the fun.

While there is still time to nominate and vote for your favourite wedding suppliers from the Bristol and Somerset area, some of the evening’s finalists have just been announced; those in the running for the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation’s Annual Awards, which will be presented during the glitzy awards ceremony on the 28th February.

These awards are presented by Naomi and her team to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the charity and its mission during the year; those who have helped to make The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation truly inspirational.

The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards

Did you get married between the 16th December 2012, and the 16th December 2013? If so, you are eligible to nominate and vote for your wedding’s suppliers in this year’s Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards. Whether you were a fan of your flowers, fanatical about your photographer, delighted with your dress or impressed by your caterers, the awards are open to any wedding service or supplier from the Bristol and Somerset area.

Nominations for the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards close on the 7th February, while voting will be closing on the 14th February – be sure to vote for your favourite wedding supplier before time runs out!

Suppliers will be judged on the overall standard of the service they provided, the quality of their product, value for money, and their commitment to the weddings they have been a part of. Voters also have the opportunity to pass anonymous comments to each supplier, providing feedback on the service/s they offer; this is a fantastic chance for suppliers to find out what they’re doing right.

The night itself

Judged by Wedding Wishing Well Foundation founder Naomi Thomas, the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards promises to be an unforgettable occasion. Taking place on the 28th February at Wick Farm near Bath, the ceremony will toast the very cream of the local wedding industry.

Tickets to the event cost just £45, which includes a fabulous evening of entertainment, a three course dinner, and of course, a fantastic awards ceremony – be sure to buy yours soon as tickets are very limited.
