February Fundraising – yet more great news!

We have had a brilliant start to 2014, with so many events and fundraisers going on.

Most recently Zoe Bromiley, Mike Parry, and their three gorgeous children ran the Bath Half Marathon Family Fun Run in just eight minutes. This is a fantastic achievement, and we are so proud of Zoe and Mike. They do so much to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation, and we couldn’t be more appreciative if we tried!

We have also received a fabulous donation from Emma Tasker, who raised £22.50 via sales of her Christmas cards – there are so many ways that you can get involved in raising funds, and we would like to thank Emma for being so creative.

The Guild of Professional Wedding Services recently presented the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation with a cheque for £155.60. Funds were raised via a charity raffle, as well as a voluntary entrance fee to their wedding fair on January 5th. An amazing result from the Guild, as always!

What can you give?

If you would like to donate to the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation but have never had the time to participate in a fundraising event, why not consider a monthly donation to the charity? Quick and easy to set up, the monthly direct debit will go towards helping couples affected by terminal and life-limiting illnesses to marry their soul mates. What an amazing way to give back! Kerry-Ann Gilmour has recently signed up, and we can’t thank her enough.

Did you know…?

You can now nominate the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation at any branch of Asda or Waitrose. Their Community Project schemes aim to raise awareness of local charities and ventures, so we are excited at the possibility of reaching a whole new audience.

We would also like to take this opportunity to tell you all about our nomination for the National Lottery Awards. Each year, the organisation offers hundreds of projects across the country the opportunity to receive a massive £2,000 for their charity or venture, as well as the chance to appear on television to raise awareness of their cause – it is amazing to be nominated. Fingers crossed that we’re one of the lucky seven chosen to win an award!

Naomi and the team are also thrilled by the announcement that the Little Wedding Helper’s Wedding Tweet Ups will be raising money for the Foundation from now on. These informal and fun networking events are designed for anyone in the wedding industry; why not join in and raise some money while you’re at it?

Phew, what a lot of news! As always, we are eternally grateful to those who dedicate their time to raising money for the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, and to those who work tirelessly to raise awareness of the charity. We couldn’t continue our valuable work without you, so THANK YOU.

Keep you eyes peeled for future events and fundraising news.

Introducing the future Mr. and Mrs. Parry

As the confetti from Emma and Jason’s wedding settles and they begin their married life together, so another wedding starts to take shape; such is the determination of the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation!

Introducing Zoe and Mike, who will become Mr. and Mrs. Parry on the 2nd of May 2014 at Old Down Manor, Bristol. Due to ill health and its associated financial burdens, Zoe and Mike had been living their lives one day at a time, and were forced to put their dreams of marriage on hold – until now. We were absolutely determined that they should tie the knot, and couldn’t be more thrilled that their special day will soon be upon us.

Zoe, Mike and their children; what a gorgeous family

If you are a wedding supplier in the Bristol area and would like to offer your services for the Parry’s wedding in May, please drop Naomi and her team an email. Support for the wedding has so far been fantastic, but it’s the little details that really make a wedding special.

Organising weddings for special couples, such as Zoe and Mike, is what the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation exists for. We receive so many applications from wonderful brides and grooms-to-be every day, and it would be fantastic to be able to help them all.

Please donate today, and help us to support even more weddings in the months and years ahead; you really can make all the difference.
