Across the country hundreds of work colleagues will be thinking about what to get their Secret Santa for Christmas – but what do you get the colleague who has everything, or is notoriously difficult to buy for? Just what would John from Accounts appreciate?!
For Day Eight of Advent we’d like to offer you a helping hand with your Secret Santa, or for anyone who is currently stuck for gift ideas. The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation has been able to help eight couples since it was founded in 2012, but we would desperately like to help more brides and grooms to experience the happiness of a wedding; the sad fact remains that we are unable to help the vast majority of couples who send in applications, simply because we do not have the resources. It would be absolutely amazing to think that, come next year, we’ll be able to help the majority of those who write to us – with your help, we can.
Instead of buying a gift for your Secret Santa this year, consider making a donation to The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation in their name instead; imagine how much your donation will mean to them, and to the couple it helps. Just £10 will help towards the cost of a wedding cake, while £100 may contribute towards flowers or suit hire; you don’t have to donate much to make a world of difference. Similarly, if you’ve yet to write your Christmas cards or buy gifts, why not spend the equivalent value on a donation?
