Have you overindulged a little this Christmas? Are you eyeing that last bottle of wine with suspicion? If you’d like to start 2015 by doing something incredible, consider giving up alcohol, or junk food, and asking your friends and family to sponsor you – think of how much you could raise, and you’ll be doing it for a great cause too!
We’d like to help even more special couples during 2015, enabling them to enjoy a wedding day that they’d never dared hope for, and you could be just one piece of our amazingly supportive jigsaw.
If you’re feeling brave, or would love to help The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, please contact Naomi and the team on firstname.lastname@example.org with a little about yourself, why you’d like to undertake the challenge, and a picture. We will then link to your challenge via our website, providing friends and family with the opportunity to sponsor you.
If you can’t bear to give anything up, please consider any other challenges that you may be able to undertake for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation – perhaps you’d like to jump from a plane, have a bath in some beans, or take a vow of silence for the day. Whatever you do, be sure to let us know and we will support you in your efforts.
If you haven’t yet entered The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards then time is of the essence! Nominations will be closing at midnight, so there are just under eight hours left to register your entry. There have been so many fantastic entries so far, and we cannot wait to celebrate the cream of the wedding industry with you in February.
If you have entered, don’t worry – we have given couples until 18th January 2015 to vote. Be sure to let your couples know that they can vote for you for a further eighteen days. Every vote counts, and you have to be in it to win it, as they say.
Good luck everybody – you are all fantastic at what you do.
Christmas is finally upon us, and so we share our last day of Advent with you – Happy Christmas to all of our followers, supporters, and volunteers.
We would like to spend this final day of our advent calendar by reminding you that entry to The Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards will be closing in exactly one week – you have just seven days to register your business with the awards, although your couples will have a little longer to vote for you. So, whatever your business – be it floristry, dress making, photography, videography, venue hire, or entertainment – make sure you tell us about yourselves. We can’t wait to celebrate the regions wedding achievements.

The Big Day is just two sleeps away, and we couldn’t be more excited! On Day Twenty Three of Advent we’d like to encourage you to help The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation in any way you can. Are there any sporting events you’ve always wanted to take part in? Have you considered a bungee jump, or two? Keep your eye out for all sorts of events that will be popping up during the next year on our sporting events page, including walking, cycling, and running events. Is there anything you know of that isn’t included? Let us know on email@example.com.
You can also support us at a number of events, including wedding fairs and exhibitions, during 2015 – come along and say hi, and raise a little cash for a good cause.
On Day Twenty Two of Advent, we’d like to share some pictures of today’s Wedding Wishing Well Foundation Christmas Party, which was held at Wine and Sausage in Taunton. A fantastic time was had by all who attended; what a fab way to get ready for Christmas! The event ran a little deeper than simply celebrating Christmas, though; our volunteers are somewhat spread out, and it was lovely to have so many of them in one room together. We consider ourselves to be one big family, and couldn’t thank them enough for the hard work they do.
Without you, we couldn’t carry on as we do – THANK YOU.
Whatever you’re doing with work, we hope you enjoy the wind down into Christmas!
On Day Twenty One of Advent, we’d like to send a little Christmas Day inspiration your way; instead of buying each other little table gifts, or opening crackers, why not make a small donation to The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation instead? Your donations will help a couple affected by terminal, or life-changing, illnesses to enjoy the wedding day that they deserve, and will surely raise your Christmas spirits too.
If you’d like to present one another with a token, how about buying National Lottery scratch cards for each other, with the winnings being donated to Naomi and her team? The fun of discovering what lies underneath the silver surface of your scratch card is sure to match the joy of being able to help such an amazing cause.
There’s no doubt about it; Christmas is a time for sharing, love, family, and laughter, and we are so excited to hear about the couples that will be getting engaged this year – will there be an engagement ring hidden under the Christmas tree for you, or a loved one, this Christmas Day?
If you are lucky enough to receive a proposal this Christmas, or have already planned to say, “I do”, in the New Year, we would love to direct you to La Boutique for your bridal wear needs. On Day Twenty of Advent, we are here to remind you that La Boutique has a stunning array of dresses, in every size and style you can imagine, just waiting for you to try on, as well as accessories and jewellery. It’s your one-stop bridal boutique.
Dress shopping is by appointment only, allowing you to experience the true magic of trying dresses on in your own time, with one of our experienced sales consultants. For more information, and to book your appointment, please visit La Boutique’s website.
Day Nineteen of Advent brings news of our patrons for the coming year – well, it is almost 2015, after all! Firstly, we’d like to say a huge, “thank you” to this year’s patrons; Michelle Royle of Perfect Wedding Magazine, and The Wedding Fairy, George Watts. It has been wonderful working alongside you.
And so on to our big announcement… Our patrons for the coming year will be Heidi Watson of Archant Bride Magazine and organiser of The Wedding Show at Westpoint, and Jo Cooke and Alison Law from Curves and Couture in Essex, which features in the BBC1 documentary My Big Beautiful Wedding Dress.
Naomi says, “We are so excited to see what 2015 will bring for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, and cannot wait to work with Heidi, Jo, and Alison. Thank you so much for coming on board as our patrons.”
We are also thrilled to announce that, for the first time, we will be having a charity ambassador. The wonderful Lee Bishop, of Strawberry Fields Catering, has been a fantastic supporter and fundraiser for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation for a while now, and we are so pleased that he has accepted this role.
We just know that 2015 is going to be fantastic.
